Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

CardLoupe ("we," "us") publishes editorial comparisons of credit cards and, on a limited informational basis, insurance. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect. We do not ask for or store Social Security numbers, credit application data, or any consumer credit information — CardLoupe is not a lender, issuer, or credit bureau. We collect: (1) aggregate, cookieless site-traffic analytics via Plausible, which does not use cookies or collect personal data; (2) anonymous click events when you use a "View card" link, consisting of the card, page, and placement clicked — no account or identity is attached; (3) if you create a staff/admin account, your email address and authentication credentials.

Card Finder. The optional 8-question tool that refines your results runs entirely in your browser's URL — your answers are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Cookies. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Any cookies that exist are strictly functional (e.g., keeping an admin session signed in).

Third parties. We link to card issuers, affiliate networks, and (for insurance) informational resources; their own privacy practices apply once you leave CardLoupe. We use Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, EU-hosted) and Supabase (database/authentication infrastructure).

Your choices. Because we collect no personal profile of visitors, there is no visitor account data to access or delete. Staff accounts can request deletion by contacting us below.

Children. CardLoupe is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

Changes. We'll update the date above when this policy changes materially.
